ROSEMARY DOUGLAS

                              

I have a background of bodybuilding since the 80’s. My trainer and Mentor was “Mr America” Don Howorth.

 

In my training of 5 yrs. I learned about anatomy, massage techniques and nutrition.

 

Along my journey of transformation of breaking off from eating disorders, another coach turn me on to yoga with Anna Delury, Iyengar Yoga. I fell in love with the expression of movement, stretching with alignment and breath.

 

So my journey has led me to great teachers that has given me years of knowledge to use for healing myself and others.

 

How I spend my time being healthy, the gym is my "Happy Hour".

 

As a senior now, I must maintain leg strength for balance poses and keeping my glutes strong helps keep my low back strong for daily activities, besides my daily teaching.

 (Also a forever rehab exercise for my knee injury, that happen in Nov.2016. )

 

I believe in being pro active with our health.

 

Through exercise and yoga we oxygenate every cell in our bodies and we release a healthy cocktail, Endorphins, Serotonin, Dopamine and Oxytocin. Wow, no wonder I am a happy person!  We have fun in my yoga classes,  and laughter is the best stress buster and it is for free!

 

Did you know that even our emotions and what we think have energy. Our emotions are little voices to help us adjust and keep guard over  nervous system, here in Los Angeles it is so easy to get fired, no wonder our joy of life goes out and Libidos go down and stress and insomnia goes up.

 

So, if you are New, afraid, stiff, overweight or an active senior, try my style of yoga . 

 

I teach in layers, I open up your tight spots first then, we get into modified or basic pose depending on your level.

 

What does Raphe mean: Taken from the bible, Exodus 15:26b For I am the Lord , I am your Healer.
